Old Firehouse #2/Future Firehouse Hostel & Museum
Updated On: May 23, 2010 (22:06:00)

Little Rock Firefighters,

This old fire station housed Engine #2 and remained active until 1959. The firehouse was considered a Craftsman series of architecture. There is a great picture of the firehouse back in the day in the Always Vigilant Little Rock Bravest 2002 Yearbook, page 132. It shows Engine 2 and the crew out in front of the station.

I would like to thank all the IAFF Local #34 members that came out all of the days to help make and bring back history with this huge project! Also, the board members that helped and provided lunch and drinks. And of course Capt. Johnny Reep, where would we be without Capt. Reep keeping the HISTORY and TRADITION of LRFD alive??!!

We have a long way to go, but look how far we have came thus far!!!

(many more pictures under the "photo gallery")

Thanks everyone!
